Over $5,000 was raised in one day thanks to the generous support of dozens of Hancock County supporters and donors like you. Under clear, beautiful skies hundreds of kids and their families came out to the Hancock County Fairgrounds to enjoy pizza, drinks, face painting, music from MIX 105, bounce houses, rides, and pony rides.
“Every year, this Carnival gets a little bit bigger and better,” said Zoey’s Place Executive Director Katie Molinder. “This year’s event raised $5,000, and every dollar of that will go toward critical victim advocacy to help kids who are victims of crimes recover and heal.”
Special thanks to every one of the dozen sponsors who helped support this event with cash contributions, in-kind donations, time, and their special skills and talent. The Hancock County Fairgrounds graciously donated the space and insurance coverage for the Carnival.
“We had half a dozen volunteers who helped us do everything from setup to tear down, including taking tickets and ensuring kids’ safety,” says Molinder. “The Zoey’s Place Board stepped up to help get this going, along with Victim Advocate Alyssa Clark and Forensic Interviewer Ronda Etherington, my colleagues at Zoey’s Place.”
“This takes a tremendous amount of planning and work, and none of it could be done without everyone pitching in,” says Molinder.
