Did you know that when abuse prevention programs are held, reported cases of abuse often increase? While this is concerning, it’s a positive sign that students are learning how to recognize abuse and finding the courage to speak up about their experiences.
That’s why Zoey’s Place offers Child Safety Matters and Teen Safety Matters programs, designed for students in grades K-12.

Train-the-trainer abuse prevention is also available
Studies show that kids who participate in prevention education programs tend to provide more accurate and in-depth accounts of their experiences compared to those who have not. These skills aid law enforcement and prosecutors during the investigation process.
We want every child in Hancock County to receive high-quality, evidence-based abuse prevention education. In addition to in-person sessions, we can train-the-trainer and provide your school with materials and handouts.
