Zoey’s Place needs more space — can you help?

We’re growing graphic with a house and several boxes bursting at the seams

Zoey’s Place is looking for more space and needs your help identifying opportunities.

Our current space on North Street in Greenfield served us well starting out, but it’s time to improve some significant challenges. We’ve simply outgrown the little gray and brick house over the last four years.

The most important parts of coming to a CAC like ours is privacy, security, and the ability to conduct a thorough forensic interview with a reported child victim of crime. Our current space is so small children are at risk of being overheard by family in the waiting room. It risks our ability to do high-quality interviews free from outside influence and preserve privacy.

We’ve also hired more staff since opening, and often our multidisciplinary team (MDT) members move into rooms where staff are working. It’s not ideal for anyone’s productivity.

Our accreditation standards have improved, too, further pushing our need for better accessibility. Our current space lacks many of the ramps and room for people to move in and around.

Do you know of space in Greenfield?

We’re seeking input from community members like you for new office space. But it has to meet a few critical specifications:

  • Two separate entrances, one for families and the other for MDT members. Preferably a front and rear so neither group can see the other, not even in the parking lot.
  • Ample parking spaces
  • The ability to be fully wheelchair accessible, including in doorways, halls, and restrooms.
  • At least 2,000 square feet of space to accommodate two forensic interview rooms, a conference-size MDT meeting room, and a family waiting area that’s distant from the interview rooms. We also need at least one, preferably two spaces for staff offices.
  • We must be in Greenfield, or very close to the city limits if the space is perfectly suited for our needs.

This could be in a house or commercial space. Zoey’s Place can and will pay a fair lease and we can do some build-out work. But we are a small nonprofit and cost is a significant factor for us.

We’ve had a great relationship with our current landlord and location, but it’s time to grow onward and upward. If you or someone you know has an office or residential-area space that fits our unique needs, email us at info@zoeysplacecac.org or send us a message online.
